Our Business

Job Prospects, a division of the Service to Youth Council Inc, is a leading provider of quality Job Network services. We provide employment, training and business solutions that meet the needs of jobseekers, employers, Government and the community.

 

In the 1990s SYC established its Skill Share programme, which was a Government initiative to assist unemployed people to upgrade their skills and find employment. Job Prospects was originally known as SYC Skillshare – Job Prospects.

 

1998 saw the privatisation of the former Commonwealth Employment Service (CES) and the Skillshare programs. In 1999 Job Prospects successfully became a Job Network provider and had three sites located in Adelaide CBD, Elizabeth and Christies Beach. In 2001, Job Prospects expanded operations significantly, opening offices in Salisbury, Prospect, Port Adelaide and Gawler.

 

Job Prospects has become a large and successful Job Network provider in South Australia catering to all eligible people. We have vacancies spanning all industries and all occupations. From labouring to office work and retail to management, we have all choices covered. We also provide career information including Traineeships and Apprenticeships.
